We're a barbershop at City West in West Perth, and we've been here since July 2019.
At City West since 2019
We opened in the middle of 2019 in Plaistowe Mews and have been cutting hair here ever since. In that time we've had more than a thousand people review us on Google, and we've managed to hold a 4.8 average, which we don't take for granted.
Most of those reviews come from people who live or work nearby, around West Perth, Northbridge, West Leederville and the city, and a fair few of them have been coming back for years. That's the part we're proudest of. Anyone can do one good haircut. Doing the same good haircut for the same person every few weeks for five years is the harder thing.
Who cuts your hair
The shop is owned by Ali Kadhim, who has been cutting hair since 2015 and still works in the chair most days.
There are four barbers across five chairs, so the queue tends to keep moving even when it's busy. Between them they speak English and Arabic.
How we like to do things
We're a walk-in shop and we've always been one. You don't need to book, you don't need an app, and you don't need to plan your week around a haircut.
We don't rush people. If you want to talk, we'll talk. If you'd rather sit quietly and look at your phone, that's completely fine too. And if you're not sure what you want, just tell us roughly what you're thinking and we'll work it out between us.
We cut hair for four-year-olds and eighty-year-olds and everyone in between. Nobody should feel out of place in a barbershop, and nobody does here.
